What is Hypnotherapy and how can this treatment help you?

Hypnotherapy is a type of mind-body intervention and interaction in which hypnosis is used to create a state of focused attention and increased suggestibility in the treatment of a medical or psychological disorder or concern. During a hypnotherapy session, you will be guided through a process to induce a trance-like state that helps to focus your mind, respond more readily to suggestions, and become deeply relaxed. Hypnotherapy utilises the heightened awareness of the hypnotic state to help you focus on a problem more deeply and to uncover the root cause.

The purpose of hypnotherapy is to help a person understand and manage their psychological, physical and emotional behaviour. The goal of hypnotherapy is to bring about positive changes in a person's mental state and behaviour by making suggestions while they are in hypnosis. To do this, your therapist will guide you into a deep state of relaxation.  While you are in this state, suggestions can be made that are designed to help you become more open to change or therapeutic improvement.

What does it feel like to be hypnotised?

Being in a state of hypnosis feels being in a mediative state. You can consciously sense the environment around you, but you feel fully relaxed and calm.

When you come out of hypnosis you will feel either relaxed and refreshed or relaxed and rested.

Most people experience hypnosis throughout the day. It can be felt like daydreaming or unconsciously doing something, like driving home on auto pilot.  Hypnosis is a natural state and everyone has felt and experienced this before, even if they are not consciously aware of it.

Will you make me cluck like a chicken?! 🐥

No. You are in control the entire time.  You are consciously aware of your surroundings and your mind will not allow you to do something that you do not want to do.

RTT®is not stage hypnosis.  You will not be made to act like a chicken! RTT®is working with your subconscious mind to target the root cause and issue of your presenting problem and is not a treatment designed for entertainment purposes.

What does it feel like to be hypnotised in an RTT® session?

It will be the same feeling as being under hypnosis.  You will feel relaxed, calm and safe.

What makes RTT® different?

Breakthroughs and permanent changes are achieved by understanding and fixing the root cause, rather than just addressing the symptoms of the presenting issue. This is why RTT®has such a permanent all-pervasive impact, as it erases and eradicates issues at the core for life-changing benefits. This is like no other treatment and the results are life changing.  RTT® is effective for a variety of presenting problems.

All RTT® therapists are equipped with an array of techniques and tools that are crucial, not just in teaching how to communicate with the subconscious mind, but also directly accessing and fixing whatever blockages and underlying issues there may be and reprogramming your mind for success, freedom, lasting and permanent changes and the ability to live a life of your dreams.

RTT® is RapidTransformational Therapy.  This is a revolutionary treatment developed by Marisa Peer.  RTT® uses a combination of Hypnotherapy, NLP (Neurolinguistic programming), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and psychotherapy.

RTT® is a hybrid therapy known for its efficiency in discovering the root of a client's issue and helping them to release and heal with permanent results.

Different from talk therapy RTT® delves into the subconscious mind to tap directly into the source of the underlying issue and repeated behaviours and patterns and using RTT®,therapists are able to reach breakthroughs via hypnosis that would not be possible if they were simply trying to reach their subconscious mind via altered language and self-talk.  While using correct, up-to-date, and relevant language when talking to yourself is certainly a part of any transformation, it serves as more of a reinforcement of breakthroughs, rather than the catalyst of achieving the lasting results required for permanent changes and improvements.

As an RTT® therapist, Marissa is equipped with an array of techniques and tools that are crucial, not just in teaching you how to communicate with your subconscious mind, but also directly accessing and fixing whatever blockages and underlying causes may be there.

Is RTT®hypnotherapy?

RTT® embraces the positive aspects of hypnosis and hypnotherapy which are widely known to produce a transformative effect on clients. Unlike traditional hypnotherapy, RTT® does not rely solely on positive reinforcement and the RTT®method goes beyond traditional hypnotherapy, diagnosing what works best with each individual client to build a new highly effective therapeutic approach and incredibly rapid results.

RTT® is a method and technique that goes far beyond traditional hypnotherapy.  Using a combination of therapies and diagnosing what works best with clients will lead to a highly effective therapeutic approach.  Marisa Peer explains that RTT®“doesn’t come from a single methodology; it comes from the unique layering of techniques and beliefs that I created.”

What happens in an RTT® session?

The RTT® session will involve 4 appointments:

1.    Discovery call (30 mins)

2.    Intake session (45 mins)

3.    RTT® session (1.5 – 2 hours)

4.    30day follow up (30 mins)

Discovery Call:

The discovery call is where we can discuss your presenting problem and if RTT is the best option for you and if I am the right therapist for you. This is more of a meet and greet session.

Intake Session:

During the intake session, we will discuss the symptoms of your presenting problem and your desired outcome.  This will help me to prepare for your session and to start working on creating a powerful transformation for you.

Before your session, you will be provided with a relaxation recording to listen to daily in the lead up to your session, This will help your conscious mind feel familiar with going into hypnosis.

RTT®session:

You will gently be hypnotised and go back to review from the outside the scenes that relate to your presenting problem and can piece together why you have this issue now.  As you are reviewing the scenes, you will not relive them.  This means that you will not feel the same feelings felt during that time.  It will feel like you are watching the scenes on a TV screen. It is a safe experience. Your mind knows which scenes are relevant that have contributed to your issue.  It is not always what you think!

We will then begin to put all of the past associations, beliefs and behaviours behind you. It will be an uplifting experience that will make you feel good and you will feel relaxed and calm during the RTT® session. You may a range of feelings and emotions after the session and there is no right or wrong. Everybody’s bodies will respond differently.  The most important thing after the session is to be kind to yourself and to sit into and feel the feelings and sensations that arise.  It’s all part of the process!

You will receive a personalised, bespoke and powerful transformation recording to listen to for the next 21 days consecutively, or for as long afterwards as you desire! The transformational recording is an important step in the process as this is a major part of rewiring the changes from the session. Failure to do so will limit your results.

30 day follow up:

This follow up session is the time to chat over anything that has come up in the 30 days after the session and to discuss the results and success you have had. This is an important part of the treatment plan as everyone can experience different levels of results.  It can be normal for other things to come to the surface once you start peeling back the layers and working on an issue.
